Scholarships and grants

Scholarships and grants are a good way to fund your studies and are open to a wide range of students. Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences provides a range of different scholarships and grants.

Ülo Pärnits education fund

The objective of the fund is to promote life-long learning and practical skills as well as support successful students and lecturers in Ülemiste City. The fund also aims to develop Ülemiste City as a smart city. This scholarship is targeted towards students and lecturers who need support in their studies or research, it also focuses on developing Ülemiste City as a smart city.

Stipends are paid out once a year. Each year a scholarship contest is held for up to four stipends. The minimum amount of one scholarship is 1500 euros. 

You are eligible to apply if:
  • you are a student of the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences,
  • you work alongside studying, are active in professional associations and contribute to the society, your academic performance is good and/or you have submitted an excellent practical research assignment;
  • you are a lecturer at the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences,
  • you use interesting current methodology to develop life-long learning and promote practical skills;
  • you are a student or lecturer from a partner university and have submitted research papers or contest entries to develop Ülemiste Smart City.
All applications must be submitted to stipendium@eek.ee by 1 May each year, unless the scholarship committee states otherwise.

Ülemiste City Competition for Bachelor's and Master's Thesis Scholarship

The scholarship(s) of Ülemiste City Competition for Bachelor's and Master's Theses are intended for a student/students who is/are ready to write on the thesis topic proposed by the cooperation partner. The competition will take place in two stages: submission of thesis outlines and submission of the final theses.

At the Master's level the scholarship is up to 2,500 euros and at the Bachelor's level the scholarship is up to 1,500 euros. The scholarship will be paid in two instalments.

The scholarship is funded by Ülo Pärnits Scholarship Fund. The objective of the Ülo Pärnits Scholarship Fund is to support entrepreneurial education and which will highlight competition to drive and help Ülemiste City smarter. Ülo Pärnits was the long-standing head of AS Mainor and the founder of Ülemiste City. Ülo Pärnits was the long-standing head of AS Mainor and the founder of Ülemiste City.

The competition will be open to all the Bachelor's and Master's students.

Students who comply with the following conditions can apply for the scholarship:

  • the student's weighted average grade is at least 3.5;
  • the student has a supervisor from among the academic staff; it is the student's responsibility to find a supervisor from among the academic staff of the university.

Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences academic achievement scholarship

The objective of the scholarship is to value and recognise the outstanding academic achievements of full-time students at the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences and to promote fulfilment of academic goals.

The value of one scholarship is 900 euros per academic year and up to 5 scholarships will be awarded.

Professional higher education students of the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences are eligible for the scholarship if they:

  • have successfully completed their first year of studies;
  • study full-time and have an average grade of at least 4.0;
  • do not have any overdue assignments or tuition debts;
  • have an active mindset and want to participate in and contribute to different projects at the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences. 
In order to apply for the scholarship, students have to submit their application and motivation letter to stipendium@eek.ee by the end of the academic year as stated in academic calendar at the latest.

Ülemiste City Competition for Innovation Award Scholarship

The scholarship(s) of the Ülemiste City Competition for Innovation Award are intended for a team, who will tackle the challenge(s) or problem(s) defined by the cooperation partner.

The amount of the scholarship fund is 6,000 euros. The scholarship is funded by Ülo Pärnits Scholarship Fund. The objective of the Ülo Pärnits Scholarship Fund is to support entrepreneurial education and which will highlight competition to drive and help Ülemiste City smarter. Ülo Pärnits was the long-standing head of AS Mainor and the founder of Ülemiste City. Ülo Pärnits was the long-standing head of AS Mainor and the founder of Ülemiste City.

The competition will take place in three stages: submission of the preliminary project outline, approval of the terms of reference of the competition work by the representative of Ülemiste City and submission of the competition work.

All students and supervisors from among the academic staff of the university can apply for the scholarship.

A team can consist of:

  • one student;
  • a student and a supervisor from among the academic staff;
  • up to four students:
  • up to four students and a supervisor from among the academic staff.

It is the student's or students' responsibility to find a supervisor to himself/themselves from among the academic staff.
