Due to the state of emergency still in force in the Republic of Estonia and the continued need to ensure safe health-related behaviour, the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences has decided to provide distance learning for students until the end of the spring semester. Although we have partially restored the functioning of the study centre since 4 May 2020, we wish to continue to protect the health and wellbeing of our students and employees. Therefore, we kindly ask that you continue to communicate with the school by distance and only visit the school buildings if required (e.g. returning books) and by prior agreement with the study centre (in Tallinn: tel. 6101900 or email@example.com or in Tartu: tel. 738 7400 firstname.lastname@example.org).
The defence of papers and theses is planned to take place in the school building, and we ask the person defending his or her work to come to school only at the time agreed for the defence and leave the building straight after the defence is over. If you wish to defend your final paper online, please submit an appropriate application through ÕIS (study information system) to the study centre at least one week before the defence of the work is due to take place.
The state of emergency declared by the Government of the Republic has been in place since 13 March 2020. The first significant easing measures are due to be introduced from 18 May 2020. Although EUAS has decided to provide distance learning for students until the end of the spring semester, support functions will partly return to work in the school buildings from 4 May 2020. The administrative function will continue its usual work from 18 May 2020. In order to ensure workplace safety, the school has acquired personal protection equipment (e.g. disinfectants and masks), and an additional protective measure, a partition, will be installed in the study centre. We recommend that students continue to communicate with the school by distance and only come to the school building if required and by prior agreement with the study centre.
Taking into account the continued state of emergency and earlier experience, students are permitted to apply for an extension to complete their study programme due to the extraordinary circumstances. To extend the completion of their study programme, students have to submit an application through ÕIS (study information system) up until the start of the defence period on 18 May 2020. We kindly ask those lecturers whose subject ends later than 4 May 2020, or for whose subject students completing their studies wish to take a supplementary examination, to meet the students’ wishes and permit them the opportunity to take an exam/credit test or other suitable option before 18 May 2020.
