- 21.06.2020: The Lecturer of the Year 2020 title won...
On June 20th 2020, for the first time in the history of the school, a virtual graduation ceremony took place - historical, special and festive. At the ceremony, the Lecturer of the Year award was presented. This is a long-standing tradition, began in 2001 when students choose the best, most inspiring and supportive lector.
The nominees for the Lecturer of the Year 2020 were:
- Karin Kuimet - an excellent ambassador of the university in shaping and maintaining the reputation of EEK Mainor. Karin is the most positive, helpful and smiling teacher who reflects a positive aura that attracts people. She is sincere, enthusiastic, cheerful and understanding.
- Piret Einpaul - a professional, strict and demanding, but also a warm, caring and positive person, whose lectures guarantee a lot of interesting knowledge and a great mood. She understands well the needs of students and is able to find a common language - still a psychologist.
- Elen Elbra - an active, friendly, amazing and very motivating speaker who makes sure that every student understands what is being taught. She is inspiring, committed, explains the topics very clearly and with passion, trying to involve every student participating in the lecture.
- Eneken Titov - an erudite lecturer in every field she deals with. Her lectures are a brainstorming, a journey of discovery as well as an interesting experience that makes students think and participate in discussions.
- Janek Tuttar - the most suitable lecturer for public speaking training. He is positive and polite, yet demanding and strict enough, but also a gentle and smart teacher who creates indelible memories. He motivates, supports and understands the soul life of students as if he could read their thoughts.
- Janek Popell - a teacher with good humour who gives his subject clearly and thoroughly. He thrills and worries along with the students and always does his best to get all the topics done easily and with maximum profitability.
- Janus Paurman - a fair, demanding, caring and very inspiring lecturer, whose lectures are meaningful, supported by practical examples and embody the topic. He is always available to students and responds quickly to all questions related to teaching.
- Irina Samohvalova - a very experienced and kind teacher who sets her primary goal as the transfer of knowledge to students. Irina has a very complex subject, so a lot of "stupid" questions are inevitable, but Irina always answers them with humour.
- Kristjan Liivamägi - an expert and a fanatic in his field, who has a huge financial knowledge, a super ability to listen to people/think/talk and the ability to make students think about the reality of achieving goals. Kristjan is able to discuss everything that happens in the world intertwined with theory in a lecture and add a lot of interesting and useful advice.
The Lecturer of the Year 2020 title won Kristjan Liivamägi (pictured with last year's co-nominee, Andrei Khrustaljov and Rector Mait Rung) for the second year in a row.
