EUAS participated in the international conference of universities of applied sciences.
March 25th, was held a virtual conference organized by the German DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) “Strengthening Applied Sciences in Teaching and Research through Internationalisation” for Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Finnish and German universities of applied sciences.
On behalf of Estoanian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences participated Head of Internationalisation Mari Taalmann and Rector Mait Rungi. The conference introduced the internationalisation of professional higher education institutions in the Baltics, the Nordic countries and Germany, and the workshops shared recommendations for successful co-operation and searched for co-operation partners in the field of teaching and research. There is a significant representation of private higher education institutions in the participating countries. In Germany half and in Lithuania more than a half are education institutions of applied sciences. Germany and Latvia have more private higher education institutions than in our country, both in percentage and in absolute terms. In Finland, a similar approach to work-based learning is used to build learning that consists entirely of learning, research and development projects with specific business themes. In three breakout sessions, EUAS Mainor introduced the university, expressed co-operation wishes related to the university and internationalisation: international studies, joint curricula, ERASMUS + exchange opportunities and research directions for co-operation.
