Inga will be presenting at the conference her research paper about "Circular Economy in Business: Is It a Fashionable Green Diet, New Religion or Profitable Value Creation?", and will share information about the circular economy and its adoption within companies. She would also highlight the benefits for companies, along with real-life examples.
Here are the main highlights of the presentation:
Although the circular economy and the Green Deal have been promoted as ways to improve the environment, business owners are lacking in knowledge and best practices.
Although they only make up a small portion of the economy, circular firms will become more prevalent as a result of shifting consumer demands, fresh business risks, and cutting-edge technological advancements.
Increased competitiveness may result from adopting circular business principles, which may lead to breakthroughs and further innovation in products, business models, and ecosystems.
To ensure value creation and capture in circular business models, multi-stakeholder collaboration must be scaled up.
The circular business model promotes shared value creation, which means that in addition to producing economic value (a profit), the business model also has a positive effect on the environment.
Achieving a balance between technological viability, desirability, and economic viability is essential to implementing circular thinking and tactics.
